Our mission

Premier Paws Pet Care provides in-home pet care and licensed veterinary technician (“vet nurse”) support in Delaware — including for medically and behaviorally complex pets.

The credential

Licensed veterinary technicians — “vet nurses,” the translation we always offer. Licensed in Delaware and Pennsylvania. Insured. Real clinical experience across emergency, shelter, and general practice.

The specialty

Medically and behaviorally complex pets: post-op recoveries, injections and SubQ fluids, sign-dependent meds, fear-free handling. A dog walk is something we do; it is not what we are.

The on-ramp

A complimentary meet-and-greet is required for pet sitting — “you show me how you like things done.” Not required for LVT appointments, which book like a clinic visit.

The Premier Paws effect: less stress and more peace. — Jessie Mey, BS, CVT, LVT

Who we serve

Three real clients — names changed — that we pressure-test every page, post, and feature against.

Bruno — the post-op recovery

Bruno — the post-op recovery

Home from TPLO surgery with a cone and a page of discharge instructions.

What his owner bought wasn’t dog-sitting — it was someone medically trained watching the incision, the gait, and the pain signs while she was at work.

The weekly-SubQ rabbit

The weekly-SubQ rabbit

Subcutaneous injections every week — a species most sitters won’t touch, a task no untrained sitter should.

One need: a professional who handles rabbits calmly and gives meds exactly as prescribed, every time.

The CKD cat with sign-dependent meds

Chronic kidney disease; medications that change with her clinical signs.

We watch the signs that drive the med decisions, follow detailed instructions, and send detailed updates. The owner travels; the standard of care doesn’t.

We politely refer away potty training, obedience training, and glamorous grooming. If it’s about making a pet prettier or better-behaved, it goes to a groomer or trainer we trust. If it’s about keeping a pet healthy, comfortable, and less afraid, it’s ours.
